The Collection at Petworth House includes paintings by Turner, Van Dyke, Blake, Reynolds and Claude. Petworth also houses an outstanding collection of classical and neo-classical sculpture and fine furniture. Today the House is displayed to reflect the 'golden age' of Petworth, the time when George O'Brien Wyndham, 3rd Earl of Egremont (1751-1837) presided over a vast estate and famous 'house of art'. The room settings, decoration and picture hang are shown as they would have been in the early 19th century.
